Intellias® specializes in creating self-service applications that fill the gaps between what ERP systems deliver and businesses need in order to have successful open or new-hire benefits enrollment. With these applications, many benefits functions can be modified to allow employees to enroll in and maintain benefits through a simple, intuitive, user-friendly web interface. As a result, administrators can concentrate on providing benefits information rather than entering data and correcting errors.

Benefits Addin Enhancements:

  • Pending Life and Disability Plans - If an employee or spouse exceeds certain life insurance coverage then split the enrollment for the insurance into two plans, current eligible and pending plan. The split plans will then be written to BS31.1, BN32.1. Pending plans are required for those user that need EOI for themselves or their dependents
  • EOI Form Print - Allow the employee to print the pre-populated EOI forms at the end of the enrollment.
  • Keep Change Current Benefits Allow the employee to select which current benefits they would like to change for the upcoming year. They would then be automatically enrolled in all the other plans.
  • Plans Dependency and filtering Add dependency between benefit plans to prevent a user from enrolling in one plan if they waive another or forcing a user to elect a dependent plan. Example: Do not allow users to enroll in Plan "A" if the user did not enroll in Plan "B"
  • Click reduction We drastically reduced the number of clicks required to get through each enrollment.
  • Extend Descriptions of Plans and Coverages Add functionality to extend the descriptions of all the plans and the coverages in the benefit enrollment by adding additional Tables and forms as detailed in the Appendix A Currently the BN15 only allows 15 characters or less in the description of the plan. We extend this description to 60 characters for both the plans and the coverages levels.
  • Default Coverage Modify Enrollment to show default coverage in the enrollment including LTD Buyout, Supplemental Life
  • Customized Benefit Confirmation screen and print out.
  • Dependent Maintenance We allow the user to make changes to their dependents prior to the election of the benefits
  • Capture Primary Care Physicians We capture the primary care physicians for the employee as they go through their Health Plans for those plans that require it.
  • Auto Enroll We auto enroll the employee in those current plans they do not want to change.
  • Default Coverage Modify Enrollment to show default coverage in the enrollment including LTD Buyout, Supplemental Life
  • Dependent Filtering Edits Filter the dependents from elections per requirements such as out of household, over 18, etc..
  • Remove coverage and plans per dependents Remove coverage levels and the Benefit Categories that do not pertain to the user during enrollment. (ie if an employee does not have spouse then remove the Spouse plan from enrollment and spouse coverage. If employee does not have dependents then remove dependent plans and dependent coverage.
  • Update Address Allow Employees to Update their address information on entry of the benefit enrollment with address verification.

Who Has Simplified Their ERP based Benefits?

Below is some of our clients using our enhancements to the Online Benefit Enrollment:

Fifth Third Bank – The “out-of-the-box” Lawson® based online benefit enrollment application did not meet all of Fifth Third’s benefits rules and needs. Intellias® developed modifications that incorporated the additional features they needed, such as capturing PCP data for those employees selecting HMO plans. We also modified numerous other Employee Self-Service applications to meet their specific needs, including Online Pay Check, Year-to-Date and Time Accrual.

Devon Energy is the largest U.S.-based independent oil and gas producer in North America. Intellias® customized their Benefit Enrollment to capture PCP data, splitting out life insurance for eligibility and pending plans.
